ABOUT THE SHOW

Um, We Were Talking is what happens when two friends with too much to say finally get a mic — and absolutely no adult supervision. Hosted by Jake Zimkiewicz and April Calla, the weekly internet show is a hilarious, unfiltered ride through pop culture, personal chaos, and whatever argument they didn’t finish in the group chat.
Jake, a creative with a gift for drama and comedic timing, brings the high emotion and gut busting humor. April, a quick-witted creative with a zero-tolerance policy for stupidity, comes armed with cutting observations and an attitude to match. Together, their chemistry is unmatched — part roast session, part therapy, part late-night diner conversation after a very long shift.
Every week, the duo spirals gloriously off-topic, diving into everything from internet discourse and toxic trends to industry tea and overshared stories from their borderline ridiculous lives. Whether they’re passionately defending a celebrity no one asked about, ranking their favorite public meltdowns, or simply trying to remember what the hell they were talking about, one thing’s for sure — they’re going to make you laugh, probably offend you a little, and definitely make you feel like you're part of the friend group.
Lock in bitch. We Were Talking.

WARNING: Um, We Were Talking contains strong language, hot takes, unsolicited opinions, emotional spirals, light trauma bonding, and the occasional threat toward a man who throws chairs. This podcast is not safe for children, exes, or anyone who takes themselves too seriously. Listener discretion is advised — especially if you’re easily offended, a Disney adult, or Diane. Especially that wretched bitch Diane.

We’re not here to be role models. We’re here to talk shit.
